Things You Can Do in Lincoln Park and Old Town Thursday

Pomplamoose at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 7:30 p.m.

Pomplamoose, the San Francisco-based Indie-pop-rock-duo composed of Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn take to the Lincoln Hall stage to headline a performance that includes Danielle Ate the Sandwich and John Schroeder. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door and the show is for all ages.

Old Salt Union at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted Avenue, 8:30 p.m.

Old Salt Union is composed of five guys from Belleville, Ill. who grew up during the alternative-country scene in the '90s. Simpleton & Cityfolk will also bring their blend of roots rock, Americana and folk music. Tickets to the 21-and-over show are $10.

Jimmy Burns at Chicago B.L.U.E.S. Bar, 2519 N. Halsted St., 9:30 p.m.

Head to one of the premier blues bars on the North Side for a charismatic performance from singer, songwriter and guitarist Jimmy Burns. Burns is a contemporary bluesman who combines his soulful voice with smooth melodies on his guitar. Doors open at 8 p.m.
