CHICAGO — At least one person was wounded by gunfire since Friday afternoon, police said.

About 3 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was shot in the 900 block of East 79th Street, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a police spokeswoman.

The woman was shot in her leg during a "possible drive-by" shooting, police said. She was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital where her condition stabilized, Lemmon said.

Police did not immediately have details surrounding the shooting, and no one was in custody as of Friday evening.
