EDGEBROOK — The slight chill in the air means it is time to break out the lederhosen for the third annual Edgebrook Oktoberfest.

Sponsored by the Edgebrook Chamber of Commerce, the fest will take place from 5:30-10 p.m. Friday and from 4-10 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Edgebrook Lutheran Church, 5252 W. Devon Ave.

Proceeds from the event will be shared with the church, or used by the chamber to put on community events in the future, organizers said.

North Branch Arts will host activities for children 4 and older from 6-9 p.m. Friday. The cost is $15 per child or $25 for two or more siblings. Reservations are requested.

There will be a beer tent and food. Bands scheduled to play include The Davenport Project, Big Al's Oompah Band, Leadfoot, Hot Rocks, Know Idea and the Kingfish Band.
