CHICAGO — A woman was wounded in a Little Village shooting Thursday evening.

Around 10:15 p.m., the woman, 24, was on a porch with friends in the 2100 block of South Marshall Boulevard when someone got out of a dark-colored car and opened fire, striking the woman in her leg and her chest, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.

She was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital where she is in serious condition, Pacheco said.

Police said the incident appears to be gang-related.

No one is in custody.
