LAKEVIEW — The Make-A-Wish Foundation will screen its film "Madzilla" at the Music Box Theatre on Thursday.

The movie follows 5-year-old Maddex, who has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and wanted to become Madzilla, a character based on his love of Godzilla. The movie was filmed in Chicago with help from Make-A-Wish Illinois.

"Madzilla" will play at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., at 10 p.m. Thursday. Free tickets are available here. An invite-only "blue carpet reception" kicks off earlier, at 6:30 p.m.

To prepare for the screening, there will be no parking from 3 p.m. to midnight on the eastern side of the street, from 3715-3751 N. Southport Ave., according to Ald. Tom Tunney's (44th) office.
