BUCKTOWN —   At a new framing and home decor shop in Bucktown, a Siberian Husky named Damen has been winning over hearts with three words.

Watch Damen try to say, "I love you."

Christina Peng and Kijja Tienchai, owners of Miss Q's Framing and Home Decor at 1950 N. Damen Ave. adopted Damen, a 3½-year-old Siberian husky, in March from PAWS Chicago.

Originally named Fagen by previous owners who abandoned him, Peng said she named Damen for the street on which her and her husband's frame shop is located.

"When we first had him, he [did] not bark or howl. We almost thought he was muted," Peng said of Damen.

Peng said she taught Damen to say, "I love you" within the first month of adopting him.

Siberian huskies can mimic human speech and are known for being playful and carrying a tune, according to fans of the breed.

Miss Q's opened in January after taking over a shuttered framing gallery that was part of a fast frame franchise.

While Peng, an accountant, handles the shop's business operations, her husband works as a framer. Peng said "Q" is her middle name.

Miss Q's Framing and Home Decor, 1950 N. Damen Ave.  Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tues-Sat. and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sunday. Phone: 773-360-8401.
