CHICAGO — Police are investigating the shooting of a 31-year-old man shot in Back of the Yards Friday afternoon.
The man was walking near the intersection of West 53rd Street and South Laflin Avenue about 4:40 p.m. when someone approached him and fired shots. The man was struck in the upper body and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
