Lakeview School-Supply Drive Wraps Up Friday

LAKEVIEW — The 44th ward school-supply drive wraps up Friday.

Anyone interested in donating items for Lakeview kids in need can swing by Ald. Tom Tunney's (44th) office at 3223 N. Sheffield Ave.

The office is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. The alderman said there's a specific need for the following supplies:

• notebooks
• folders
• markers
• crayons
• scissors
• pencils
• pens
• 1-inch binders
• pencil holders, plastic or fabric
• "Pink Pearl" erasers
• backpacks
• lunch boxes and reusable bags
• boxes of tissues
