CHICAGO — A teen was killed and three other people were wounded in shootings overnight, including a 17-year-old shot early Wednesday in Humboldt Park.
The Humboldt Park shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of West Grand Avenue. A 17-year-old was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by two men who shot at him. The teen was hit in his left calf and transported to Norwegian Hospital, where his condition stabilized, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman.
No one is in custody for the shooting, Alfaro said.
About two hours earlier, a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in Burnside.
Around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, a 22-year-old man was shot in West Englewood.
A 19-year-old man was shot in his left hand while walking in the 1400 block of North Lawler Avenue in North Austin. The shooting occurred around 6:52 p.m. Tuesday and left the man in stable condition at West Suburban Hospital, Alfaro said.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
