BRIDGEPORT — Have clothes in need of some repair?

Bring them out to the Recycle Café, where volunteer instructors will help you breathe new life into well-worn duds.

The workshop takes place 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Urban Threads Studio, a nonprofit located in the Bridgeport Art Center. The cost to attend is $20, which includes the use of sewing machines and notions.

Organizers say the event takes its cues from the original "Repair Cafe," which opened in the Netherlands in 2009 and has grown into a worldwide DIY movement.

Tickets can be bought at this website.
