Two Killed, Two Wounded Overnight in South Side Shootings

CHICAGO — Two people were killed and another two were wounded in shootings overnight.

The most recent shooting happened just after 2 a.m. in West Pullman when a 30-year-old man was shot in the 11600 block of South Stewart Avenue, police said.

In non-fatal shootings, a 28-year-old man was shot while seated in a car at a party in the 9100 block of South Woodlawn in Burnside around 10:15 p.m. The man was shot in his eye and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.

No one is in custody for the shooting and the man is a documented gang member, Gaines said.

Around 7:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in his back while walking in the 11800 block of South Morgan Street in West Pullman. He was taken to Christ in stable condition, Gaines said.

Around 6:53 p.m., a man was fatally shot in Englewood, police said.
