ENGLEWOOD — Fall classes start Aug. 25 at Kennedy-King College for students who register this month.

Registration, which ends Aug. 23, runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays in the W-Administration Building, 6301 S. Halsted St. Students can call 773-602-5090 for more information.

Students must have either a valid driver's license or state identification card plus pay a $30 non-refundable fee to register for classes, which end Dec. 13, according to Roxanne Brown, a spokeswoman for the college.

She added that students working toward a degree or certificate are urged to complete an online application.

"Once your application has been processed, you will receive an acceptance letter that includes your Student ID number," Brown said. "City Colleges of Chicago also offers tuition-free Adult Education classes, including GED, English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education and U.S. Citizenship preparation classes."
