HUMBOLDT PARK — Public garden and neighborhood tours in Humboldt Park and Logan Square are set to guide residents into fall.

The Growing Pride Community Garden Club of Humboldt Park will host its annual garden walk in and around the namesake park this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., including a tour of flower and vegetable gardens in the park.

The free bike and walking tour will stop in at least eight gardens including Monarch Community Garden El Yunque Community Garden, Patchwork Farms, Our Block Community Garden, El Coqui Community Garden, and Harold Washington Community Garden August 9.

This year's walk will be held in conjunction with the 35th Anniversary Conference of the American Community Gardening Association. The tour is scheduled to end with a block party on the 2550-2593 block of West Walton St. celebrating the one year anniversary of Mozart Community Garden.

A self-guided tour of all participating gardens will be provided each location or garden-goers can meet the group walking and bike tour at El Coqui at 1 p.m.

Logan Square Preservation will return with its annual house and garden tour in mid-September after a brief break. The walking tour will stop at eight 19th century locations on Palmer and Humboldt boulevard beginning at the Serbian Orthodox Church, 3062 W. Palmer Blvd.

Tickets for the September 13 tour cost $25 and can be purchased online or in-person at Comfort Station from noon to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
