COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A Chicago Police officer's ex-husband was back in court Thursday for allegedly stalking her — again.
Eric Terry, 39, and his ex-wife were divorced in September, prosecutors said.
On May 17, his ex-wife was at her home on South Whipple Street with a friend, prosecutors said. When the friend left, she found her car tires slashed. The same thing happened on June 10 when another friend was leaving the officer's house, prosecutors said.
On July 19, someone threw a glass bottle at the officer and a friend as they sat on her front porch, prosecutors said.
On the night of July 12, the ex-wife was visiting a friend on South California Avenue when her friend's car tires were slashed, prosecutors said. A neighbor saw a man fitting Terry's description and told police that the culprit was driving a maroon Monte Carlo like the one registered to Terry, prosecutors said.
The victim caught Terry in the act July 21, prosecutors said, when surveillance video from a camera set up by the officer showed Terry walk up onto her porch and smash the camera.
Authorities said Terry was acquitted in April of similar stalking charges involving the same victim.
Terry was ordered held on $300,000 bail on the new charges.
