EDGEWATER — EdgeFest 2014 organizers expect to host the "biggest EdgeFest yet" on North Broadway this weekend.

Ally Brisbin, of the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event, said the summer street festival attracted 14,000 people last year.

This year, she expects 17,000 people to attend.

She said for the first time in the festival's history, vendor spaces have sold out.

The chamber is also offering one free beer to every person who brings a receipt to the festival showing that he or she spent at least $30 at an Edgewater business this week.

"This is the biggest EdgeFest yet," Brisbin said.

The festival kicks off at noon Saturday on Broadway between Thorndale and Ardmore avenues and lasts until 10 p.m. On Sunday, the festival begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

Artists such as Sixteen Candles, The Amazing Heeby Jeebies and The Bootleggers will perform on the fest's two stages. Go here for a full lineup.
