BRIDGEPORT — The Bridgeport branch of Washington Federal Bank was robbed, authorities said.
An FBI spokesperson said a man walked into the bank, 2869 S. Archer Ave. about 2 p.m. Wednesday, and handed over a note to a teller demanding cash. The man said he had a weapon but it wasn't seen, authorities said.
The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber ran away. Before leaving, he told the teller it "was a pleasure doing business with you," according to multiple media reports, which cited police reports.
The bandit is described as a black male, about 5-foot-10 and between 20 and 30 years old, police said. He was last seen wearing a black cap and a gray T-shirt, police said.
