WEST LOOP — The London-based Soho House, a posh hotel and members club, will officially open its first Chicago location Aug. 11, according to the hotel's website.
Just south of Randolph Row on Green Street, the six-floor, 40-bedroom hotel has two signature restaurants, a gym, ground-floor cafe and bar, screening room, and rooftop pool and lounge.
The hotel's publicly accessible areas include a cafe and two restaurants, Pizza East and Chicken Shop, both of which have outdoor dining on Green Street. The hotel also has a publicly accessible spa — the Cowshed — which has five treatment rooms, six mani-pedi chairs and a retail shop.
Memberships at Soho start at $1,000 for an "Under 27" discounted rate and run up to $2,800 for access to Soho Chicago as well as its national and international sister clubs.
Founded in London in 1995, Soho House Group now has 11 houses located in the U.K., Berlin, New York, West Hollywood, Miami and Toronto. This will be the group's fifth hotel and members club in North America.
