CHICAGO — Whether Wednesdays make you want to drink whiskey or cook a healthy meal, we've got outdoor options in the neighborhoods.

1. Stock Up on Summer's Bounty: Head to the Andersonville Farmers Market and stock up on some delish local produce. May we suggest tomatoes and cherries? If you're a vegetarian or just a fan of really tasty things, head to the Phoenix Bean table and try the spicy tofu. Tell yourself you'll have it for lunch tomorrow and then eat the entire thing on your way home. It's the only way. Market open 3-8 p.m. on Berwyn between Clark and Ashland.

2. Drink Whiskey on a Roof: It seems ill-advised, but is actually a pretty great idea. On Whiskey Wednesdays at the Twisted Spoke, all whiskey is half off — and there are many options. They also have a sweet rooftop patio and a solid buffalo chicken sandwich. Bar open 11 a.m.-2 a.m. 501 N. Ogden Ave.

3. Hang Out With the Coolest Alien Evs: Children of the '80s: It's time to get your own kids hooked on your favorite childhood movie. "E.T." screens in Portage Park tonight. BYOBlanket. Free. Movie starts at 8 p.m. at 4100 N. Long Ave.

4. Classical Music in the Park: If you haven't watched a concert in Millennium Park yet this summer, you better get on it. It's beautiful, relaxing and free! You can't beat free! Bring a bottle of wine (Booze is allowed!), some snacks and a pal and make a night of it. Tonight the Grant Park Orchestra performs. Free. Concert starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, 201 E. Randolph St.

5. Play Mini Golf: The mini golf course in Lincoln Park at Diversey may not have any fancy Haunted Trails-esque holes, but it does have an unbeatable view of the city. $10 for adults. Open from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. at 141 W. Diversey Pkwy.
