CHICAGO LAWN — Peoples Gas and two Chicago organizations are banding together to sponsor an energy workshop to show residents how to save money during the summer.

The free energy workshop runs from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday at Republic Bank of Chicago, 6501 S. Pulaski Road.

Organizers said the event will feature representatives from the nonprofits Elevate Energy and the Citizens Utility Board along with Republic Bank, who are all co-sponsors, who will talk about resources residents could use to keep lower their gas and electric bills while also increasing their home value. Information about ComEd's "smart meters" will also be discussed.

Space is limited and you must RSVP by calling Mike Harrington at 312-532-9846 or doing so online.
