CHICAGO — Police have arrested a second person suspected in robbing at gunpoint numerous "L" riders on the Orange Line earlier this month.

On Friday, police said they had apprehended one suspect in the robbery, which took place the afternoon of July 16 as a Loop-bound Orange Line train traveled between Halsted and Roosevelt, one of the line's longest stretches.

Two men took numerous items from passengers, and pistol whipped one woman, police said.

The men have yet to be identified, and charges are pending, police said.
