WEST LOOP — Craving some raw juice with your bao? Asian bun master Wow Bao is now serving cold-pressed juice from the West Loop-based Harvest Juicery at two of its Chicago locations.

Originally a bottle-delivery service from former chef Kristina Sciarra, Harvest opened its full-time digs at 1012 W. Lake St. in early February. The hydraulically pressed juice comes in 11 flavors — including watermelon, almond cashew milk and fennel — which are bottled and sold at the store for $8 a pop.

The juice is now available at two Wow Bao locations: one at State and Lake streets and another at Lake and Michigan Avenue. Each location serves two juices — "Pear" with pineapple, ginger and thyme, and "Watermelon" with cayenne and sweet basil.

According to Sciarra, representatives from Lettuce Entertain You — Wow Bao's parent company — approached her about carrying the juice about two months ago.

Harvest juice already sells at several city locations, including Publican Quality Meats, Lincoln Park's Blue Farm Stand and Public Chicago Hotel. With its focus on healthier options, the bao spot was just another "good fit," Sciarra said.

On Saturday, Sciarra will host a tasting tour at the juicery Saturday, followed by a free on-site lunch from The Bao Mobile, Wow Bao's food truck. The event, which costs $15, starts at 11 a.m. To reserve a space, contact Ashley at 312-334-6395.
