CHICAGO — Firefighters will compete in a series of challenges to raise money for pediatric cancer clinical trials during Fire Up a Cure Saturday at St. Xavier University in Mount Greenwood.

Twenty-five teams of firefighters will compete in a fire-truck pull, hot wing-eating contest, obstacle course and more during the annual Cure It Foundation fundraiser. The money raised during Fire Up a Cure will go toward raising awareness of cancer, funding pediatric cancer clinical trials and supporting local children who are battling cancer.

The event will feature live entertainment, and concessions will be sold.

The event will start 11 a.m. at St. Xavier's campus in the Shannon Center, 3700 W. 103rd St. Tickets are available online for $10, $5 for kids or $20 for families.
