ENGLEWOOD —Plant lovers will not want to miss the second annual plant giveaway at an Englewood garden.

A total of 3,700 plants will be given away from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Sherwood Peace Association Community Garden, 256 W. 61st St. Plants will be distributed on a first-come, first serve basis, said Pat Hill, manager of the garden.

"Last year we had 107 people show up and 4,500 plants were given out," Hill said. "Some people were able to get as many as 25 plants because we had so many plants. Depending on how many people show up this year people will not only be able to pick out their own plants but can get more than a few to take with them."
