LOGAN SQUARE — Lumberjack Jill. Marie ARMtoinette. Drinkerbell. Meet the Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers.

The city’s top female arm wrestlers will take over the Logan Square Auditorium, 2539 N. Kedzie Ave, for the league's 19th match on Friday.

“CLLAW’s 19th bout will feature Chicago’s biggest, baddest, most belligerent lady arm wrestlers decked out in over-the-top outfits with fast-talking managers, ebullient entourages and shady referees,” according to event producers at the Slideshow Theatre Company.

The main event will feature athletes at the top of their game “united only by one dream: to elbow their way through the competition and wrestle their way to the top,” Slideshow said.

With only a master of ceremonies and two questionable referees to judge them, the 12 women will attempt to score the coveted “bedazzled CLLAW gloves,” the event producers said.

Audience members will have the opportunity to buy CLLAWBUX, the official currency of league, throughout the night. With their CLLAWBUX, onlookers can bet on their favorite wrestlers and possibly bribe referees to even the score, the event promoters said.

All CLLAWBUX purchased will go toward raffle prizes, and a portion of proceeds from this year's match will benefit She Crew, an arts empowerment nonprofit for girls in Chicago, ages 12-14. She Crew's programming is accessible to all girls in Chicago at no cost to the students.

Since its first match in 2009, Sideshow’s league events have helped fund money for several Chicago-based nonprofits, including The Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation, Barrel of Monkeys, Community Counseling Centers of Chicago, Girls Rock! Chicago, Marwen, Chicago Arts Partnership in Education, Rock for Kids, About Face Youth Theater and others.

Doors open at 10 p.m., and the first match starts at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. There will be a cash bar available. Advance tickets are available at www.cllaw.org.
