CHICAGO — Glass shattered on an eastbound No. 72 bus in Humboldt Park after someone apparently shot a pellet or BB gun, authorities said.

The incident occurred at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday when the driver "heard shattering of glass" while driving on North Avenue near Albany Avenue, said Catherine Hosinski, a CTA spokeswoman.

The window appeared to be hit by a pellet or BB, police said.

No one was injured and there is no indication the gun was fired from within the bus, Hosinski said.
