NEAR WEST SIDE — "The Little Rascals" will screen for free at Sheridan Park Monday, as part of the Chicago Park District's "Movie in the Park" series. 

Community group University Village Association is sponsoring the event, which will begin at dusk Monday at Sheridan Park, 910 S. Aberdeen St.

The 1994 film an adaptation of the older Little Rascals television series follows friends Spanky and Alfalfa as they prepare to take part in a Soap Box derby race. Alfalfa falls in love with Darla and Spanky fights to win his friend back in time for the race. The film is rated PG.
