MCKINLEY PARK — Teen artists are invited to the Chicago Public Library's McKinley Park branch for an artmaking session.

It's inspired by the concept of "Outsider Art," which are works created by "self-taught artists who have a unique vision, style and self-expression," organizers say.

The workshop will make use of traditional and non-traditional art methods, and participants can expect to use found and repurposed materials to make their own unique pieces of art.

The event takes place 1 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 1915 W. 35th St.

The event is free. Register by calling 312-747-6082.
