If you see a hipster guzzling sunscreen at Pitchfork, do not be alarmed.

Due to the rising summer musical festival beer prices, not to mention an increase in nosey security guards, frugal drinkers have embraced the latest trend in boozy gadgets to get a cheap buzz — the Smuggle Your Booze Sunscreen Flask Bottle.

I first encountered the sunscreen flask while on vacation in San Diego, where drinking on the beach is banned.

My pal, a veteran concertgoer who refuses to overpay for booze, says filling Fiji water bottles with vodka or white rum, wrapping canned beer in your beach blanket and stashing whiskey in your camelback remain viable options for smuggling booze into your favorite music fest.

But there isn’t a security guard out there who’s going to check your tube of 30 SPF for alcoholic contraband.

While the sunscreen flask ($9.99 for a two-pack on Amazon.com) is a bizarre and ingenious invention, the Internet is full of options for fiscally conservative music lovers desperate to turn their favorite outdoor concert — and there’s plenty in Chicago this summer — into a BYOB event.

BeerBelly — This booze bladder holds up to 80 ounces of your favorite summer drinks and comes with a neoprene sling that, you guessed it, “looks like a beer belly” under your shirt. Obviously, this contraption works better if you don’t already have real beer belly or more than a 40-inch waist.

Winerack — This sports bra — equal parts false advertising and surreptitious wineskin — holds up to 25 ounces and comes with a long plastic drinking tube.

iFlask — The “World’s First Smart Flask” looks like an iPhone, but has room for 5 ounces of booze. It actually functions properly when you can’t get a signal.
