BRIDGEPORT — The summer movie series on the Bridgeport Pasty garden patio begins with a free screening of "The Lego Movie."

The movie is set to begin 8 p.m. Friday outside the restaurant, 3142 S. Morgan St.

It's the second installment of the seasonal, family-friendly garden party. There is a lot of seating, but guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

For years, co-owner Jay Sebastian and Carrie Clark have peddled pasties — think handheld meat pies — from their electric-powered Bridgeport Pasty food truck.

Last year, they opened a new, solar-powered storefront on Morgan Street offering seven versions of the pasty plus homemade sides.
