CHICAGO — Berghoff Brewery is hosting a one-night tap takeover at Southport and Irving Park on Thursday.
The German-style beer company has been in Chicago for more than 120 years. It recently launched "Shambler," a limited-release Radler made with granola and multigrains.
At Thursday's event, Berghoff staffers will talk about each beer and give away raffle prizes including Cubs tickets, Berghoff jerseys and food and drink vouchers for September's Berghoff Oktoberfest.
Beers will cost $5-$7 on Thursday, and four-beer flights are available for $8 (4-ounce samples). Small plates will be available, and the event runs from 5 p.m.-midnight at 4000 N. Southport Ave.
