UPTOWN —  Bike advocates are celebrating "another victory" in Uptown — the recent installation of bike lanes on Broadway — with a ride down Broadway on Tuesday capped by a meetup at Fat Cat Bar.

Community group Bike Uptown and the Active Transportation Alliance are inviting cyclists to "meet at Montrose and Broadway at 6:30 p.m., ride up the protected bike lane to Foster, and then head back down to Fat Cat at 4840 N. Broadway for some socializing with bike and pedestrian advocates," according to a Facebook event page.

Bike advocates are calling the lanes, installed last month, "another victory for better biking and walking in the city."
