ROGERS PARK — Local politicians and JVS Chicago, an organization that helps people find jobs, plan to host a free resume-building workshop Tuesday at Loyola University's Damen Student Center, 6511 N. Sheridan Road.

From 8 a.m. to noon, experts will be on hand to teach job seekers how to craft a resume that "will make an impact," according to organizers.

Representatives from Care for Real, Centro Romero, Chicago Workforce Center Northside, Illinois Department of Central Management Services, Chicago Public Library, Goldie’s Place, Howard Area Community Center, Inspiration Corporation and the Illinois Department of Employment Security will also be in attendance.

Elected officials co-sponsoring the event with State Sen. Heather Steans include State Rep. Kelly Cassidy and Ald. Harry Osterman (48th) and Ald. Joe Moore (49th).
