CHICAGO — Two men were wounded in separate South Side shootings Thursday night, police said.

The latest incident occurred in West Pullman at 9 p.m., according to Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

A 23-year-old man on the sidewalk in the 500 block of West 128th Street was shot in his hand by someone who walked up to him, fired shots, then ran off.

The wounded man was taken to MetroSouth Medical Center. He's in good condition.

In a separate shooting, a 53-year-old man was shot in his leg at 7:25 p.m. while sitting in the 800 block of East 64th Place, Gaines said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was in stable condition, Gaines said.
