CHICAGO — At least four people were wounded in shootings across the South and West sides Friday, police said.
Most recently, a man, whose age was unknown, was shot in the 900 block of South Springfield Avenue in the North Lawndale neighborhood, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a police spokeswoman.
The man was shot multiple times about 6:57 p.m., but further details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available, Cooper said, citing preliminary information.
About the same time, two men were wounded during a possible drive-by shooting in the 2800 block of West Pershing Road in Brighton Park.
One man was shot multiple times, and the other was shot once, Cooper said. Both men, whose ages were unavailable, were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Cooper said.
