LAKEVIEW — Summer on Southport is back — and organizers estimate it will draw 30,000 people to the neighborhood this weekend.
The two-day festival at Southport and Waveland is known for live music and local artists. Guests can shop at stands with jewelry, paintings and photography. And a children's area has games and activities for the little ones.
The festival runs from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There's a $5 suggested donation that benefits the Southport Neighbors Association.
Performers will include the Gus Giordano Dance School, Too White Crew, 16 Candles, Radio Disney and Hey Jimmy.
