Hyde Parkers Come Out to March on the Fourth of July

HYDE PARK — Kids pedaled through Hyde Park on the Fourth of July alongside Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle dressed as the Statue of Liberty.

Neighbors came out for the 23rd annual 4th on 53rd parade to watch state Sen. Kwame Raoul dressed as a minuteman solider and Ald. Leslie Hairston (5th) donning a red, white and blue dress.

Neighborhood kids on bikes joined in the parade,weaving among the community organizations and businesses marching with banners through the neighborhood.
