CHICAGO — A man robbed a bank in Old Town Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The man walked into a Chase Bank in the 1700 block of North Wells Street about 2 p.m. Friday and handed a teller a note announcing a bank robbery, authorities said.

Police said the man implied he had a gun, and then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber is described as a white male, between 20 and 30, standing 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a hat and shorts, and carrying a backpack.

There is a reward for his capture. Anyone with information can call the FBI at 312-421-6700.
