WICKER PARK — For those who've collected more antiques than they know what to do with, a neighborhood group is still looking for vendors for its annual retro sale this Saturday.
The Wicker Park Committee is hosting its yearly Vintage Sale, formerly known as the Antique & Junque sale, from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday near the park at Schiller St. and Damen Ave.
The sale has more than 20 vendors so far, including Le Thrift, ameliajanevintage and local photographer Andrew Miller, among others.
Plenty of individual Wicker Park neighbors will also be around selling jewelry, garage sale items and art.
Those interested in providing a booth can contact Brian Root at (312) 952-5960 or broot@rootadvisory.com. Booths are $35 for committee members and $50 for non-members.
Proceeds from the sales of booths support the committee, which hosts monthly meetings to discuss what's happening in the neighborhood and address local issues.
According to Root, the cash will help fund food for meetings as well as community outreach efforts.
