CHICAGO — Southbound lanes on the Dan Ryan Expressway near 95th Street were reopened after a crash involving two tractor-trailers and a bus full of adults.

The crash occurred at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday when a Freightliner lost control and ran off the road and hit the right concrete wall, according to state police.

The crash caused the truck's trailer to separate and hit a white passenger bus.

The bus veered to the left and hit another Freightliner that was run off the road to the left before hitting the concrete median barrier.

In all, 37 people were sent to area hospitals, though none of the injuries were life-threatening, fire officials said.

The roadway was reopened at 6:25 p.m.
