Englewood Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Wounded

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting in Englewood Thursday evening.

About 6:10 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the 5700 block of South LaSalle Street and found a man fatally shot in his head, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a police spokeswoman.

Malcolm Stuckey, 19, of South Holland, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:35 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

Two other people were wounded in the shooting, police said.

A 23-year-old man was shot in his mouth and right leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. A 24-year-old man was shot in his foot and drove himself to St. Bernard Hospital, Cooper said.

As of Thursday evening, police did not have details available about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
