THE LOOP — There are now two places in the Loop where summertime visitors can catch a movie screening gratis.

Two weeks after Millennium Park unveiled its annual summer movie series lineup for screenings every Tuesday through late August, the nearby Wit Hotel at 201 N. State St. announced the launch of its new Movie Monday series.

Nearly every Monday from Memorial Day through Sept. 1, the rooftop bar ROOF will screen blockbusters for free, including recent hits "American Hustle, "Pineapple Express" and "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Seating is first-come, first-served at the 15-week series, which begins every Monday at dusk, but large groups planning to dine can reserve a table in advance by calling 312-239-9502.
