NEAR WEST SIDE — Randolph Street Market's biannual vintage clothing and jewelry expo kicks off Friday.

Modern Vintage Chicago — a weekend of classic vintage and contemporary design — takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10-5 p.m. at Plumbers Hall, 1340 W. Washington Blvd.

Admission is $8 and includes one complimentary mimosa, beer or wine and access to over 75 vendors. Those who purchase $25 passes gain access to both days, plus two complimentary drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and complimentary makeup retouching from Redhead Revolution. Day passes also grant attendees admission to Friday's early buying preview event from 5-9 p.m.

There's also the option both days to attend a noon "lunch and learn" from fashion aficionado Nena Ivon, who spent her 53-year career as fashion, special events and marketing director at Saks Fifth Avenue. Ivon will give a talk on “20th Century Fashion Designer Costume Jewelry...From Paul Poiret to Christian Lacroix.”

For $30, in addition to the presentation, the event includes a boxed gourmet lunch from Little Goat Diner, entrance into the Market both days and drinks.
