CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man shot in Pilsen was one of two people wounded by gunfire overnight, police said.
About 2:45 a.m. in Pilsen, the man was stopped at a red light in the 1600 block of West Cermak Road when a gray car pulled up alongside him, police said.
People inside the car flashed gang signs and opened fire, police said, hitting the man in the arm. The man drove off and notified police. He was taken in stable condition to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.
Just after midnight, a 29-year-old man was shot in the leg in Austin. The man was in the 4900 block of West Hubbard Street when he "heard shots and felt pain," police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
No one was in custody for either shooting.
