CHICAGO — Police are warning West Town residents about thieves who hit people on the head with a blunt object before robbing them in two incidents on Sunday.

The first incident happened at 12:01 a.m. in the 2200 block of West Superior Street and the second incident happened at 4:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Chicago Avenue.

Descriptions of the robbers varied. One thief was described as a 5-foot-4 white woman, age 18 or 19. Another victim said it was a group of two to four black men, between ages 18 and 20, standing between 5-foot-8 and 6 feet tall.

Police are warning residents to always be aware of surroundings and to report suspicious activity immediately.
