CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man is in serious condition after he was stabbed in his back at a McKinley Park house party early Thursday.
Police said the stabbing stemmed from an argument inside a house in the 3300 block of South Ashland Avenue. As the fight heated up, people moved outside about 12:10 a.m. At some point during the fight, the victim was stabbed in his lower back.
The person who wielded the knife took off toward West 35th Street, police said, and no one was in custody.
The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
