Woman Sexually Assaulted in Belmont Cragin

CHICAGO — Police are warning Belmont Cragin residents after a woman was sexually assaulted in the neighborhood on Tuesday night.

At 9:30 p.m. on April 8, an 18-year-old woman was grabbed by a man as she passed an alleyway in the 4600 block of W. Montana St., according to a police statement.

The man covered the woman's mouth and sexually assaulted her before feeling down the alleyway, police said.

The man was described as Hispanic, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black athletic jersey with red sleeves. He was described as 5-foot-6 and weighing about 150 pounds.
