CHICAGO — A man who was walking on a Portage Park street was struck by a car and killed Thursday morning, police said.
Around 5:50 a.m. Thursday, a car struck the man as he walked in the 4400 block of North Narraggansett Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
The man was identified as Nicholas Marx, Jr., 85, of the 4400 block of North Mason Avenue in Portage Park. He was pronounced dead at Resurrection Hospital at 6:01 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.
