Man, 24, Killed in West Englewood Shooting

CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was killed after being shot in his face in West Englewood Friday morning, authorities said.

Police found the man in the 6900 block of South Elizabeth Street about 10:42 a.m., said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

He was identified as Alonzao Williams, of the 1200 block of West 70th Street.

Williams was shot in the face and taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 2:06 p.m., authorities said.

No one was in custody, and Area South detectives are investigating, police said.
