Police Look for Man Who Tried to Lure Teenage Girl in Humboldt Park

CHICAGO — Humboldt Park residents should be on the lookout for a man who tried to lure a teenage girl into his car Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred in the 3900 block of West Division Street about 1 p.m. when the man attempted to talk a 15-year-old girl into entering his car, according to a community alert.

The girl ignored the man and walked home safely.

The suspect is described as being a 40-year-old black man who was wearing a dark hoodie at the time of the incident.

He was driving a light blue four-door car, possibly with the handicap license plate of 163-267.
