CHICAGO — Two men were killed and five other people were wounded by gun violence since Friday night, police said.

A man was shot in his mouth and face and was found dead when cops arrived at the scene of a Little Village shooting in the 3800 block of West 26th Street about 2:55 a.m. Saturday, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a police spokesman.

He was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Jose Nunez, 23, of the 1800 block of North Leavitt Street.

In another shooting, a woman in her 30s was in a car in the Humboldt Park neighborhood when she was shot in her arm and stomach about 4:45 a.m. Saturday, according to Sullivan.

After that incident in the 1700 block of North Whipple Street, she took herself to St. Mary Hospital. She was then taken to Stroger Hospital, where she is in "stable" condition.

About 12:50 a.m. Saturday, five people were shot at a private party in a Back of the Yards lounge. One of those wounded has died.
